Rates

Our 2027 sanctioning fees are below. These do not include the required membership, or your boat/pilot costs. See what’s included on the Sanctioning page.

Published rates are for established swims, single swimmer, one way. Prices may vary for custom swims, tandem swims, or doubles - contact us for more information.

Payment due

Your swim application is not complete until dues and sanctioning fees are paid in full. Payment in full is due 45 days prior to the swim date (or first day in swim window).

Refund policy

For solo swims: Swims can be rescheduled or deferred within the same calendar year up to 7 days before the swim date, pending NOWSA approval and availability for the new date. For cancelled swims, a refund of 75% will be given for swims cancelled more than 7 days prior to the swim date (or first day of the swim window). Membership dues are not refundable. Discounts

Lifetime members may deduct $50 from their sanctioning fees for 2027 swims.

We would like marathon swimming to be an inclusive sport. If costs are a barrier, scholarships are available.. Contact NOWSA to inquire
