observer basics

The Swim Observer will document, record, and officiate each swim NOWSA sanctions. The Observer will act as the official set of eyes and ears, and ensure the event takes place without harming the safety or integrity of any participants or NOWSA.

Before the swim, NOWSA will assign an impartial observer to the swim. Certain swims, such as declared record attempts, may require higher levels of scrutiny.
